We Are Responsible for Our Own Learning!

The annual Student-Led Conference (SLC) is held by Sekolah Pilar Indonesia as part of our assessment of students’ learning. Students collect samples of their school work, to be included in their portfolios. As students gather evidence of their learning, they reflect on this learning and get ready to discuss their progress with their parents/guardians.

Student Exchange Programme: An Unforgettable Experience

During the 2 week-Exchange Programme in Le Fevre High School, our Grade 11 students experience a lot of activities with their Australian friends and families. Since the first day students arrived in Adelaide, Le Fevre High School, Pak Rob Shepherd, the Head of School, welcomed them and let them join the school activities. The students met Ibu Sarah, Ibu Kylie, Ibu Lina and Ibu Emily who teach Bahasa Indonesia and the Indonesian culture.  All the teachers and students are amazing, they are very kind and helpful and make the students feel home.

Let’s Speak Indonesian!

Today, Grade 11 students helped their friends from Le Fevre to study Indonesian language. During the Indonesian language periods, they had conversations in Indonesian. They introduced some Indonesian words and described their families, school and plans after graduating from high school. Everybody was enthusiastic to learn. They even taught an Indonesian song by an Indonesian singer, Farid Hardja.
