Welcome to Syneva Cafe and Cinema

Grade 4 students have recently explored the unit of inquiry under the transdisciplinary theme “How We Organize Ourselves”. The central idea for this unit is “Social organizations affect the well-being of individuals.” We have learnt about the needs for Non-Governmental Organizations, the service offered by organizations, and our responsibility towards people in difficulty. The students have tried to organize an event, called Cinema Day. They invited parents, ECC and Primary students to watch movies and buy food and beverages prepared by the students. The proceeds would be donated to the people in Lombok who are affected by the earthquake through Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT).

This event was organized as the summative assessment task. It was also integrated with language, Maths, Art and ICT. The students learnt a lot from the preparation. They were so excited to give the service in the Syneva Café and Syneva Cinema. Through this event, students developed the learner profile attributes of caring and open-minded and the attitudes of cooperation and respect. Thank you for all the support and the participation! Let's help our brothers and sisters in Lombok.
