In Science, Grade 6 students have learnt about the states of matter and their characteristics. Last Thursday, Grade 6 students had a practical test about the characteristics of liquids. In groups, they prepared experiments to show these characteristics, which include: all free surfaces of liquids are horizontal unless disturbed, liquids flow from higher to lower level, liquids take the shape of their containers, the pressure in a liquid acts in all directions, liquids flow through porous media and liquid can flow against gravity in a narrow space (capillarity).

The students had prepared the tools and materials beforehand and they confidently presented their understanding. All group members shared responsibilities and took turns explaining the characteristics of liquids. Great job, Grade 6!
