Grade 10 Parent Presentation: “In Order to Create You, You Have to Trust Yourself”

On 26th of February, we had our first Parent Presentation as Senior High School students. We did our best in preparing the performance. The students of Grade 10 had already started the preparation since the first semester. We discussed our ideas with our class teachers. We worked together enthusiastically.

Let’s Have Fun with "Weather" Mini Exhibition

As the summative assessment task for the unit under the transdisciplinary theme "How the World Works", recently, Grade 2 held a mini exhibition which was integrated with English. Every student had a chance to choose one experiment to be presented in the mini exhibition. After choosing the experiment, students had approximately one week to prepare their experiments and write the procedural texts at home. Parents supported students in the preparation as well. Then, students brought the results of their experiments to school and had a practice to present their findings.

"Making Use of Old Materials to build Machines: Integrating Science and Design Technology”

In this second semester we had an interdisciplinary lesson about Science and Design Technology. We have explored some simple machines and their functions. We have also learnt about the formula to find the force and weight in simple machines. In Design Technology, we have learnt about how to design a machine.

Expressing Ourselves through Arts: Grade 5 Parent Presentation

On Wednesday, 17th February 2016, Grade 5 students presented our Parent Presentation. We presented what we have learnt in the unit of inquiry under the transdisciplinary theme How We Express Ourselves. The central idea we explored was ”Creating and responding to art develops understanding of ourselves and the world around us”. We highlighted the concepts of perspective, connection and function. We also practised our communication skills, self-management skills and research skills. Communicators and risk-takers were the two learner profile characteristics highlighted, while creativity and respect were the attitudes that we focused on.
