Sociopreneurship Programme

When we grow up, we can’t always rely on the jobs offered to us. That’s why Sekolah Pilar Indonesia held this programme called sociopreneurship to prepare us to be young entrepreneurs.

The programme was held from October 19 until November 17, 2015. During those 30 days, we sold at least three menus consisting of food and drink with the price ranging from Rp. 5,000 to Rp. 10,000.

Grade 1 Parent Presentation: Learning through Play

"Technology has changed how we play", that's the central idea of the unit we're currently exploring. To show parents what we've been learning, we invited them to come and watch our Parent Presentation, held on Friday, 20th November 2015. Through the play, dance and songs, we shared our understandings on how people play from time to time.

Grade 4 Students Visiting Yayasan Heesu “Cahaya Cinta”

As part of our learning, Grade 4 students visited Yayasan Heesu “Cahaya Cinta” on 18th November 2015. We are currently exploring a unit under the theme “Sharing the Planet” with the central idea "Children face a variety of challenges, risks, and opportunities". Yayasan Heesu “Cahaya Cinta” is a foundation that cares for children with disabilities. It was founded in 2008. Most of the children taken at Yayasan Heesu “Cahaya Cinta” have cerebral palsy.  The youngest child staying there is 7 years old and the oldest is 23 years old.

Grade 8 Parent Presentation: “It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.”

Every 10th November, Indonesians celebrate National Heroes Day and we decided that for this year’s Parent Presentation, we wanted to take advantage of the momentum and so “heroes” was the main concept of our play. We wanted to honour the heroes who fought for our nation and country.
