Entering a new environment could be a very frightening experience for someone and this might happen to our new students. Therefore, we planned a programme to make them get used to their new environment, called Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS). In this programme, all the new students are given some basic and fundamental information about school, namely school’s vision and missions, routines, rules, and many more. It is expected that after completing this programme, all the new students are ready to learn without being hesitant or afraid of their new learning environment.

The First Day of The New School Year 2016-2017

Welcome students of the 2016-2017 school year! It's school time again! Monday, 25th of July 2016, was our first day of the new school year 2016-2017. Everybody was excited, although a little sad because the holiday is over. A few of the new students felt nervous because of all the new things: new teachers, new friends and a new school.

Professional Development Sessions

As we are about to start the new school year, the teachers and staff of Sekolah Pilar Indonesia followed some trainings, as a part of professional development, given by Bapak Dr. Iwan Kresna Setiadi, the Management Board of Sekolah Pilar Indonesia and Ibu Sri H.D. (Ibu Yaya). Bapak Dr. Iwan Kresna Setiadi led the training about improving systems on the 19th and 21st of July 2016. One of the purposes of this training was to ensure that the school provides excellent service and how the prime values of the school (to be independent, highly-principled and to appreciate diversity) become internalized in every programme. Collaboratively, all participants reviewed the current systems and found opportunities for improvement.
