Last week, all Grade 12 Science students did a Physics practical test. A few days before the test was scheduled, our teacher, Pak Aji, asked us to download an app called "Decibel Meter" on our phones. It's an app to measure the intensity of sounds.

On 16th and 17th July 2014, the Junior High is going through the national re-accreditation process. Dra. Ratu Suzanna Noorhayati, M.Pd and Drs. Ahmad Husin were assigned as the assessors. They observe and get the picture of the learning process at Sekolah Pilar Indonesia. In the welcoming ceremony, Junior High students showed their talents through traditional dance, music and poem. Hopefully the national re-accreditation process will go well.

Every year, Pilar Student Council (PSC) holds an event known as “Malam Prasidina” (Prom Night), to appreciate and celebrate the Grades 9 and 12’s graduation. This year's theme was Seize the Night: Paris. The PSC chose this theme because we wanted this night to be as memorable as the city of Paris. After all the preparation and hard work, we successfully made a night worth remembering! To create a Parisian vibe, we even made a 3-metre tall Eiffel Tower out of bamboo and covered it with cardboard and aluminum foil. Congratulations again, Grades 9 and 12! Wishing you success and beautiful years ahead!

On 10th – 12th June 2014, Grade 9 students went to Lembang. As a celebration of their success, they held a charity programme. After successfully passing the National Exams, they wanted to share their happiness with others. They visited SD Inpres Lembang, instigated games and donated books and stationery. The students were actively involved in preparing this programme. They formed a committee and carried out their tasks responsibly. Well done, Grade 9!
