International Partnerships with Educational Institutions in South Korea

Dr. Iwan Kresna Setiadi and Mr. Windoto Aribowo from the Management Board of Sekolah Pilar Indonesia, visited some educational institutions in South Korea, from 20th to 25th March, 2016.

One of the most important programmes that was scheduled for the trip was the visit to Yang-Won High School, in Busan, South Korea.

Dr. Iwan Kresna Setiadi and Mr. Windoto Aribowo were welcomed by Mr. Choi Man-Gong, the President of the school and by other leaders of the school.

During this visit, Dr Iwan Kresna Setiadi gave a motivational presentation to the students of the school which was very positively appreciated by the students who attended the presentation.

As a result of this visit Mr. Choi Man-Gong, Dr. Iwan Kresna Setiadi and Mr. Windoto Aribowo are lecturing forward to a closer corporation between the Yang-Won High School and the Sekolah Pilar Indonesia ; among others : the possibility of an exchange programme for students and teachers exchange and other educational programmes.

Dr. Iwan Kresna Setiadi and Mr. Windoto Aribowo also visited the Korea Maritime and Ocean University in Busan  to see how our two graduates from  Sekolah Pilar Indonesia, Adimas and Gagah, who got the scholarship to study there are doing with their studies.

In the Korea Maritime and Ocean University, Dr. Iwan Kresna Setiadi and Mr. Windoto Aribowo were welcomed by Prof. Nah Ho Soo, lecture for International trade and economics at the university.

Prof. Nah Ho Soo showed Dr. Iwan Kresna Setiadi and Mr. Windoto Aribowo around the campus to see the learning facilities at the university and introduced the variety of studies taught at the University.

Until today, Sekolah Pilar Indonesia has already built relationships with the Le Fevre High School in South Australia, also with Forest Primary School and Telopea High School in Canberra, ACT Australia.

Dr. Iwan Kresna Setiadi as the leader of the Management Board, hopes that all these schools can work together collaborate and cooperate to promote the education quality of the school.
