ECC Excursion to Sea World, Ancol

On the 29th of November 2016, ECC students and teachers went on an excursion to Ancol Sea World and Ancol beach, which is located in Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, Jl. Lodan Timur No. 7 – North Jakarta, to deepen our understanding about sea animals and habitats. Kindy and Reception students are currently exploring a unit under the transdisciplinary theme Sharing the Planet, with the central idea "Living things needs sea to survive" for Kindy Class, while the central idea for the Reception Class is "When interacting with natural habitats, humans make choices that have an impact on other living things."

ECC Parent Presentation: Save Our Ocean

On Friday, 18 November 2016, ECC students proudly presented what we have learnt in the Unit of Inquiry under the transdiciplinary theme “Sharing the Planet” at our Parent Presentation. Kindergarten and Reception classes collaborated in the form of a simple drama, songs and movements. The drama persuaded everyone to work hand in hand to take care of the sea in order to maintain the habitat. All of the students were very confident and were risk-takers to share what they have learnt.

Pre-Kindergarten Parent Presentation: “Four Little Pigs and Two Hungry Wolves”

On Friday, April 8th, 2016, Pre-Kindergarten students held a parent presentation in the form of role play with the title “Four Little Pigs and Two Hungry Wolves”. They presented what they have learnt in the third unit of inquiry, with the central idea “Animals and people interact with each other in different ways”. Parents and other ECC classes were invited to watch the performance.

We Love Gardening!

On Friday, March 31st, 2016, ECC students harvested “caisim” on the backyard of the ECC area. After that, they made meatball soup and added “caisim” as one of the ingredients. They showed their cooperation skills by working together when harvesting and cutting “caisim”. They showed their enthusiasm when doing the activities. They were so excited when finally they could enjoy the vegetables that they had taken care of for three months.

It's Cooking Time!

To lead to the school readiness in life skills and study skills, Pre – Kindergarten students are engaged in purposeful and enjoyable activities. In life skills the students  love to get cooking lessons. They have been exploring maths, language, fine motor and social skills on that hand on and concrete basis.
