Graduation Ceremony - Class of 2019

On Tuesday, 21st of May 2019, Sekolah Pilar Indonesia held the Graduation Ceremony for 101 students from Reception, Grade 6, Grade 9 and Grade 12. For this year's graduation theme, we took a quote from Maya Angelou, "Nothing can dim the light which shines from within." The theme defined our hopes for the graduates to keep shining, to be the best that they can be.

Reception Mini Exhibition: "Patterns Affect Our Daily Lives"

On the 17th of May 2019, Reception students held a Mini-Exhibition. This year, the topic was taken from a unit about patterns with the central idea “Patterns affect our daily lives”. All parents were invited to see the exhibition showing the understanding of the students about patterns in Maths, Art, language and life (life cycle). The students enthusiastically explained their understanding and were confident to answer questions from their parents. Well done, Reception!

Cherish the Dream, Enjoy the Night!

On the 30th of April 2019, Pilar Student Council of Sekolah Pilar Indonesia held an event, Prom Night. It was held at the Avenzel Hotel, Cibubur. We invited the students of Junior and Senior High and also the teachers. We chose "Mexican" for this year's theme, and "Cherish the dream, enjoy the night" as the tagline. Pilar Student Council prepared the decoration and chose bright colours. Ibu Tasha opened the event and gave a speech and after that each class performed enthusiastically. The students also prepared some interesting games before the award giving ceremony for the ninth and twelfth graders.

Tarzan: Two Worlds, One Family

Under the transdisciplinary theme of "How We Express Ourselves", Early Childhood Centre (ECC), Grades 1 and 2 students held a School Production on Saturday, May 4th, 2019. We adapted the story from Disney’s famous movie, Tarzan. As the opening acts, Kak Zidan from Grade 7 entertained the audience with stand up comedy. After that, some Grades 10-11 students from the band "S M L" performed three songs. They are very talented! Thank you for the opening acts, Kak Zidan, Kak Dewa, Kak Firo, Kak Davan, Kak Felix and Kak Raya.
