Technology nowadays has become an integral part of people's life. One of the challenges for us, the students, is how to use technology to optimize our potential. During the unit of inquiry about digital media, our learning was supported by our Art teacher, Pak Henri. Pak Henri helped us to set up a class blog in kidblog.org. He then displayed our artwork on the internet. Our parents can see our work and we can show them our progress in Art lessons.

Under the transdisciplinary theme of “How We Organize Ourselves”, we learn that school is one of many various communities we belong to and how communities function more smoothly when all members contribute and share. To deepen our understanding, we decided to invite members of our school community as guest speakers. They were the Head of Academic Division, Principal, Teacher, Parent, Administration Staff, Driver, Maintenance Staff, Helper, Security Guard and Cook. They shared their experiences about how they do their job in this school. From this learning experience, we understand that everyone has important roles and our school community will not run smoothly without them.

At Sekolah Pilar Indonesia we believe that students learn best with full support from parents and the school. Parents' involvement in the students' learning and school programmes are highly essential. Last Saturday, we invited parents of ECC up to High School to attend the Info Day. New family members of Sekolah Pilar Indonesia attended a session on Vision and Mission by Bapak Iwan Kresna Setiadi, the Head of the Management Board, and after that all parents were given explanation about their children's class programmes in each grade level. Thank you parents, for attending the Info Day and we hope we can work hand in hand to support the students' learning.

Collaborative Camp, 10 to 11 August, 2014 in Gunung Pancar, was attended by the students of 7th grade to 12th grade. The event wasn’t for vacation or relaxation, but for learning surrounded by nature.
