On Saturday morning, 23rd of November 2019, Grade 7 parents were enthusiastic to experience learning at school as students at the Parent Workshop. There were some activities involving scientific investigation as well as interlinked learning of English, Design Technology and Information and Communication Technology.

They also enjoyed the fun games in the session of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. This half day event was closed by a parenting session with a psychologist, Ibu Gisella Tani Pratiwi, M.Psi, about understanding teenage years and communicating with teenagers. Books are the windows to the world. They hold adventures, develop our imagination and sharpen our minds. In an effort to nurture the love of reading, last weekend, Sekolah Pilar Indonesia invited the children from Pondok Pesantren Daarul Musthofa to a bookstore in Cileungsi. Bapak Iwan Kresna Setiadi and Ibu Trias Widyaningrum from the Management Board accompanied the children and shared, as well as listened to their stories. Excitedly, the children looked for the books and stationery they liked. They learnt to interact with employees of the bookstore and had a great time looking through the books they were interested in. We hope reading can be a habit that they will continue to develop in the future.
